Myth or Reality?

Read Time: 3 minutes
Message from the author:
This week I wanted to challenge myself to provide a shorter read while providing the same level of information to takeaway.
Let me know what you think.
This issue is about thought-provoking ideas that may spark something within you to further explore or make a move on something that you have been holding off doing for yourself to progress forward.
MAKER is here to provide knowledge, insights, ideas and systems to unlock the best version of yourself.
I have been getting into human performance and what makes usā¦. well, us.
It has actually led me down a worm hole of information that is sparking the interest even more.
This path has now taken me into the world of Human Biology.
Human biology is the study of all aspects of the human organism including evolution, genetics, ecology, anatomy and physiology, development, anthropology, and nutrition, among others.
What led me here though?
My pursuit and passion for improving my own health, wellbeing, focus, neurohacking, longevity and finding natural ways to build a sustainable lifestyle and also ways to feel like the best version of myself daily.
Through this process, I have now started to find some interesting people that dominate this space.
Insert - Human Biologist, Gary Brecka.
Whilst I have heard about this guy for a while, it was only recently I really started to dive deeper into the work of Gary, who has been making his way into the mainstream media through his time spent with UFC President - Dana White and the results they have achieved together.
I feel Danaās story is relatable to so many people including myself.
Whilst not all of us are CEOs or Presidents of global organizations, a lot of us are busy and struggle to find the balance between family, career and taking care of ourselves.
To the point where our health and wellbeing tend to become second or fourth priority in our day-to-day lives.
Take care of your body, Itās the only place you have to live.
The Dana story summarized
Just over a year ago - Dana, at age 53, had been struggling with his health for 10 years.
He was overweight, his legs were tingling and sore to touch, he had sleep apnea, high blood pressure - the works.
Doctors and specialists were recommending medication to fix the problems.
And it wasnāt working for him.
From his recent interview on The Ultimate Human Podcast - this is how he described his experience:
āI will never go to a doctor ever again about my general health. All they want to do is put you on pillsā.
āListen, I was at a place where Iād rather dieā.
āI had the best doctors that you could get from the best hospitals. None of them could stop the snoringā.
āNone of them could get my blood pressure under controlā.
āNone of them could get my cholesterol, good and bad, leveled outā.
In 2022 he meets Gary Brecka - whilst skeptical at first, he was desperate to try something new and decided to complete a full biological examination.
When the results came back - Dana found out two important things that would change the course of his life:
In his current state - he will not make it to 65. He was given approximately 10 years left to live in the condition he was in.
They found that he had Metabolic Syndrome - the highest cause of cardiovascular disease, consisting of abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high triglycerides (fat in the blood) and high cholesterol.
They say that having just one of these symptoms places a person at riskā¦ Dana had all five.
With this newfound information and guidance from Gary - The goal was to not rely on medication to fix the problems within his body.
Dana went āall inā and committed to transforming his life.
Whilst I wonāt go into the details on how he achieved it (Mainly due to being specific to his needs based on results).
At a high level, they focused on replacing key resources that were missing in his body through supplementation & nutrition.
They also carved time out of his schedule to focus on routine, habits and building consistency, whilst still managing several businesses.
The goal for me on sharing his story, is to show you that in order to change your life for the better, you just need to know where to start, what is causing the problems and find actual ways to address them.
Pictures speak louder than words. Below is proof of Danaās transformation.
Also keep in mind, that is a 54-year-old man rocking abs in the right pic.
Respect!!!!
Right now, he claims to be in the best shape of his life and feels like he is 20 again.

Superhuman - Myth or Reality?
Becoming superhuman is not a myth.
It is just different to what you may think of when you hear the word āSuperhumanā.
We think powers, right?
We thinkā¦ flying, lasers out of the eyes, super speed etc.
Superhuman to me is a way of lifeā¦ a way to push beyond the boundaries of what we think is normal.
If we are in alignment with our bodies - I believe that the superhuman feelingā¦ is actually the way our bodies should feel.
Think about itā¦
BECOMING SUPERHUMAN is really just unlocking and living the best version of yourself.
Somewhere in our lives we can fall off track.
Our goal is guide it back.
The magic happens behind the label and ideology.
Itās about improving the systems and habits.
For some it may seem out of reach or not for youā¦ but it is.
If you are on the fence - here are some areas within your life that will improve by adopting a superhuman mindset and lifestyle:
Physical Fitness
Optimal Body Composition
Mental Clarity
Immune Resilience
Stress Resilience
Energy & Vitality
Sleep Quality
Balanced Nutrition
Active Lifestyle
Mental & Emotional Well-Being
If you are able to find a way to improve some or better year all of these areas in your lifeā¦
You will become your own superhero & if you have kidsā¦thereās as well.
